DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY(NEUROSCIENCE)

Admission Requirements

1. Hold a B.Sc. with an honors degree or M.Sc. with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 in the medical, life, biological, physical, health or general sciences; or in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, Medical Technology, Nursing, Physical Therapy and Psychology.

2. Demonstrate good physical and mental health, or satisfactorily pass a medical examination.

3. Meet the requirements of the Faculty of Graduate Studies.

Those who do not meet the above admission requirements, but have at least one year of working or teaching experience in an academic or research institution, sufficient to demonstrate a high level of leadership in teaching, research and/or public service, may be considered. Students with degrees and proficiencies other than those mentioned above may be granted by the Program Committee under exceptional circumstance.

The Ph.D. Curriculum

Study Plan 1 : for students who graduated from M.Sc. program with paper publication in neuroscience field (compatible with this curriculum)

Plan 2.2 is designed for those who graduated with a B.Sc. Degree. The course requirement for this plan is at least 23-credit course work and a  48-credit research thesis.

The transferring credits of an equivalent course in Neuroscience Program may be considered and granted by the Program Committee.
