Research interest:

My current research works are interested in both animal and human models. In humans, I focus on biopotential signaling and behavioral studies in both aging and stressed people. The research related to psychological disorders such as anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia disorder. My colleagues and I are developing a wearable device to detect stress from photoplethysmogram (PPG), heart rate variability (HRV), and galvanic skin response (GSR).  In animals, I am interested in the animal model of stress and psychiatric disorders, drug addiction, neurodegenerative disorders, stroke model, sleep model, and ß-Thalassemia.  I am currently running experimental protocols with behavioral studies such as learning and memory test, cognitive functions tests, stress tests, anxiety tests, depression tests, motor functions, and balance tests.  In addition to conscious animal models, I use anesthetized animals to study the biopotential signaling from telemetric recordings of brain, cardiac, and muscle parameters and stereotactic microinjection of pharmacological substances into the brain areas involved in CNS & PNS control.
