Ion Transport \u2013 studying the function and regulation of ion channels and membrane transport systems in epithelial tissues, utilizing advanced electrophysiological techniques.<br>\u2003\u2003\u2003\u2003\u2003- Gastrointestinal and Respiratory Epithelial Physiology \u2013 examining the molecular regulation of ion and fluid transport in the digestive and respiratory systems, including testing small molecules and compounds on ion channels such as CFTR and calcium channels.<br>\u2003\u2003\u2003\u2003\u2003- Molecular Biology &amp; Recombinant Protein Technology \u2013 applying molecular tools to study protein function and expression at laboratory and pilot scales, including the production of recombinant proteins as biologics for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.
