The Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Mahidol University, Organizing the 2024 Annual Fire Drill and Active Shooter Emergency Response Plan Training
On December 20, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the Institute of Molecular Biosciences, Mahidol University, held the “2024 Annual Fire Drill and Active Shooter Emergency Response Plan Training” at the Serene Piboonniyom Auditorium. Over 150 participants, including faculty members, researchers, staff, and students from the institute, attended the event.
The activity consisted of theoretical training sessions, such as:
– Emergency response plans for active shooter situations
– The causes of fire and fire prevention
– Psychological aspects of handling fire emergencies
– Types and symbols of fire, as well as fire spread and extinguishing methods
In addition, key practical training sessions were conducted, including:
– Basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training
– Fire evacuation drills
– Search and rescue operations for victims
– Survival techniques for evacuating a burning building
– Using basic firefighting equipment and building fire suppression systems
This activity aimed to prepare all personnel to respond effectively to emergencies. It was conducted with expert trainers and specialized training teams to ensure safety, build confidence, and enhance practical skills for handling critical incidents.
