Our research is focused on studies of genetic diversity, molecular identification and pathogenicity of fungal and bacterial pathogens in cassava such as Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. manihotis (Xam) and Phytophthora melonis. Moreover, we are also interested in investigating of genes involved in resistance and virulence of these diseases in order to apply for improvement of cassava with resistance to diseases.
