Shrimp Molecular Biology Research Laboratory (C204) received an award for the presentation of a good level of laboratory safety.

The 2nd Annual Laboratory Safety Standards Network Meeting was held on October 9, 2020 by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) at the convention center of Rama Gardens Hotel in Bangkok. The conference was attended by more than 300 researchers from various laboratory networks. The conference was aimed to build a cooperation in developing a management system for laboratory safety and to strengthen the networked laboratories in their capacities to manage and monitor the laboratory safety0 related to chemical use.
The Center for Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Management (COSHEM) has chosen the Shrimp Molecular Biology Research Laboratory (C204) of the Institute of Molecular Biosciences to represent Mahidol University to present the works related to laboratory safety. Here, Mr. Thiraphong Ho, a PhD student in the Molecular Genetics and Genetic Engineering (International) Program of the Institute of Molecular Biosciences, presented the Best Practicenin the Safety Standards of Shrimp Molecular Biology Laboratory (C204) with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Apinan Udomkit as an advisor. This presentation was awarded a good level of laboratory safety, the third place among 12 hosting universities for the network of laboratory safety standards (Node), Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University, Kasetsart University, Khon Kaen University, Chiang Mai University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Suranaree University of Technology, Thammasat University, Naresuan University, Burapha University, Prince of Songkla University, and Hatyai University, who presented their works here.
