The 32^nd Medical Instrumentation Academic Conference on Smart Hospital and Health Security

On 8^th – 9^th August 2022, the Center of Biomedical Instrumentation for Research and Development, Institute of Molecular Biosciences, and Thai Association for Medical Instrumentation organized the 32nd Medical Instrumentation Academic Conference on Smart Hospital and Health Security at Amarin Room, SD Avenue Hotel, Borommaratchachonnani Road Bangkok. More than a hundred public health professionals attended and exchanged their experiences in medical technologies, including hospital administrators, medical doctors, nurses, biomedical device technicians, engineers, medical technicians, physical therapists, scientists, medical equipment technicians, and stakeholders from the public and private sectors.

This year, the conference aims to disseminate knowledge on the application of modern digital technologies in hospitals and advanced medical treatments to public health professionals, which could prepare them for Smart Hospitals. The conference also serves as a forum for exchanging perspectives and experiences in applying medical technology between experts and practitioners from various fields, for example, Marching through the Long Critical Pandemic, Smart Ventilator, Medical Internet of Things (IoT): Smart OPD/Smart IPD/Smart ER/Smart OR system, AI technology and Smart Hospital, future health technology, cybersecurity, Applications of Blockchain to Health Technology, Medical Robots and Automated Drug Transport Systems, Medical Equipment Management Information Systems (WepMEt), and Smart Hospital Engineering.

Also included were presentations of students’ project on biomedical instrumentation from various universities. Outstanding achievement awards and scholarships were given to thirty-two undergraduate students following reviews from experts in relevant fields, with the aim to encourage and support students’ learning and development towards national and international academic standards.
