Research Summary

My research focuses on the use of computational simulation, machine learning, bioinformatics, and data analytic approaches to design and optimize new medications for various diseases, including viral pathogens such as Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Zika virus (ZIKV), Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), Human papillomavirus (HPV), parasitic such as Entamoeba histolytica, and cancer. By screening specific biological targets, our lab aims to discover novel drugs and validate them experimentally. We also investigate biological systems for target identification and predict potential effects of drug candidates, as well as identifying new potential uses for existing drugs.
