The Institute of Molecular Biosciences (MB), Mahidol University, hosts the “MB Sciences Program 2024 Period 2”

The Institute of Molecular Biosciences (MB), Mahidol University, hosts the “MB Sciences Program 2024 Period 2” workshop from November 4 to November 29, 2024, welcoming 15 medical students from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia. This program aims to enhance the participants’ molecular science skills with a strong emphasis on understanding and applying modern technologies in biomedical research.

The workshop covers a range of topics in molecular biology, including Molecular Cloning, DNA Amplification by PCR, PCR Purification, Analysis of Recombinant Plasmids, Application of Recombinant DNA Technology, Antibiotics and Susceptibility Testing Methods, Bacterial Cytological Profiling (BCP), and basic knowledge of Vaccines. Students are also allowed to choose a research laboratory of their interest to enrich their academic skills further and gain hands-on research experience in molecular biosciences.

This intensive training not only prepares students for future careers in medical and research fields but also fosters academic collaboration between leading institutions across Southeast Asia.
